The following was written a year ago today before my road trip to the midwest to see my pops, knowing that when I came back life would be different, in drastic ways, many decisions were made to change it all up. many tears, smiles, happy good byes and a finger to the rest as I rolled on out. For those who followed me on my changing lanes in life blog, this is where I shall continue. I must say, I have changed lanes, directions, speed, scenery, emotions and am learning to hold my hand out a bit more ea time. I do this for me, my kids, my family, friends and those I cross paths with. Maybe there is something to be listened to when I am told that I am too private. I'm working on that.

In everyone's life there comes a time when we must make decisions to do what is needed to ease our soul. Sometimes those decisions hurt others even when you don't want them to, other times it's a decision simply for yourself and never hurts anyone. Either way, one needs to make the positive decision for themselves before they are fully able to be good for others. The point being is that it is time for my soul and self to wander. To become one with the road where the road and you fit perfectly together in a tandem and parallel moment of synergy. (Usually this happens when I am on the bike-very freeing moment or high speeds on a back country road )
A time for letting go, a time to see the unseen, meet the unmet, empty ones self and fill it back up again, become renewed while leaving life's demands behind for a time. To see the stars from a different place, race the clouds to a far away place; watch the winds blow among the ruins and grains of sand roll into formations, only to be changed seconds later. To stand at the edge of something unknown, with wonderment. Take a breath of different air and reach for what is there. Search your soul, smile and wave knowing that it's going to be a beautiful day and one hell of a ride.
The country for a tattered soul?
